Would-Be Gentleman

Professor Carolyn Lougee-Chappel's popular French history course was adapted for online delivery. The aspirations of a middle-class landowner are brought to life in this interactive course via a social simulation game where the player buys and sells land and trades other class privileges in an aim to gain access to the court of Louis XIV. The course is rounded out by lectures from Professor Lougee-Chappel on the interactive CD-ROM, a guidebook, and an online course site for threaded discussion and live chat.
